Vivian Wong, D.A.O.M., L.Ac.

Dr. Vivian Wong is a licensed acupuncturist in California with a doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She specializes in recovery assistance from sports injuries, work-related chronic postural imbalance, and post-stroke rehabilitation.

Vivian customizes acupuncture sessions for individual clients to balance their body’s external and internal connections and improve their postural alignment. The goal for all clients is to help them maintain long-term wellness once their immediate symptoms are relieved.

With over ten years of sports massage experience, Vivian combined manual techniques with acupuncture techniques, learned from Whitefield Reaves’s sports acupuncture and traditional Nei Jing masters, to help clients achieve efficiency within their bodies’ potential to heal.

Her past clients include professional swimmers, college men’s swimming team, marathon runners, jiu-jitsu enthusiasts, hikers, and other working professionals with chronic pain. She has also helped clients to increase their daily life functions from stroke rehabilitation and pain reduction management from PMS symptoms.

Vivian received her master’s and doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the University of East-West Medicine in 2016 and 2019. She is fluent in Chinese and conversant in Japanese. Vivian has a BA in the Japanese language from UC Berkeley and studied at Tokyo University as an exchange student.

Vivian is interested in personal enrichment through walking and traveling. She has enjoyed visiting nature-infused walking destinations on seven continents. Vivian is also a Tai Chi and Qi Gong enthusiast and practices weekly with the Cal Tai Chi group.
